The Book " Ecological Distortions of Kashmir Himalayas" is a rare piece of attempt on the subject. the book contains 22 chapters written elaborately by the author. each chapter of this book has been decorated with the rich experience by the author. The present work has been written ina very simple language and relevant examples have been quoted to illustrate the facts wherever possible and feasible. due to alarming rate of population growth, there is a lot of pressure on natural resources to meet out the ever growing day-to-day demands. This results in the distributed ecology of the Kashmir Himalayas. A sincere effort has been made to focus on the various problems which are attributed due to the ecological aspects. This region of Himalaya possesses varies types of climates. It has been debated several times that man is the great destructor of nature. Through\ different chapters of this book, the same has been found true. All this leads to the distorted conditions which is of great concern to every right thinking person. It is hoped that the present book will serve a cause in the right development of this region. There is an urgent need to pay full attention towards these problems. the author is confident that this book will be a boon and will prove useful to the readers and all other as interested in the subject.
