The Indian Forester, a pioneer journal in the field of Forestry Research established in 1875 has been serving the cause of Scientific Forestry Research since its inception. The Indian Forester is indeed a milestone not only in the history of Indian Forestry but also that of International Forestry Scenario. The Indian Forester has always endeavoured to provide its readers, the information regarding the latest Research & Developments in the country on topical issues by bringing out Special issues on topics such as Conservation, Eucalyptus, Earth Summit, Wild Life, Vegetative Propagation, Biodiversity, Sustainable Development, Teak (Tectona grandis), Wild Life Conservation, Neem, Agro-forestry, Participatory Forestry Management, Wild Life Protection, Environment, Poplar, Wood, Energy, Social Forestry, Bamboo, Medicinal Plants and Climate Change.
